Shabnam Shabani

Born in 1980 in Tehran, Shabnam began painting personally at the age of three and later received private lessons at home. Under the guidance of masters such as Mrs. Mansoureh Hosseini, an innovative Iranian artist, Shabnam continued her studies between the ages of 9 and 12. She learned watercolor techniques for several months at the Reza Abbasi Museum. Professional drawing and painting were pursued for two and a half years at the School of Art and Literature of IRIB with instructor Mahnaz Pasikhani, a contemporary artist.
Between 1996 and 1999, Shabnam studied figure drawing with masters like Ahmad Vakili and Hannibal Alkhas, contemporary painters. From then until 2004, she gained experience in drawing, color, composition, and more with Karim Nasr, another contemporary painter.
In 2001, Shabnam entered the Faculty of Art and Architecture and had her first group painting exhibition in 2004. Her professional activities continued through participation in various solo and group exhibitions and providing private painting lessons. The opportunity to explore the world of painting and view works by contemporary international artists came during a study period in England from 2007 to 2009. Following this, Shabnam was accepted into the master's program and established her personal studio. Her professional activities in Iran have continued with participation in various domestic and international exhibitions, both solo and group. Her entire life has been and will continue to be centered around painting.
